Birthday story ideas that work
Most birthday stories are one of three things: a celebration of your own birthday, a wish for a friend or partner, or a family moment. The templates here cover all three, and most are made for a single strong photo – the easiest way to make a birthday story look finished.
- One photo, party frame. Confetti Shower, Golden Confetti and Silver Balloons put confetti or balloons around one portrait. Add the name and the date and you’re done.
- Several photos. Balloons turns four photos into a bunch of balloons; New Orbit puts a main portrait in orbit with two smaller ones; Gumball Machine fills a sweet dispenser with two photos.
- Cake and candles. Cake Box and Birthday Bunting are made for the cake moment – a close-up of candles looks great in them.
How to make it in a minute
- Pick the photos in Allapulla. Only templates that fit that number of photos are shown.
- Choose a birthday template; the photos drop into the frames automatically.
- Replace the name, age or date with your own text.
- Share to Instagram Stories or WhatsApp, or save it to your gallery.
Tips for a better birthday story
- Use a recent, well-lit photo where the face is clearly visible.
- Write the person’s name – it feels much more personal than a generic sticker.
- Keep text in the middle of the frame; the top and bottom of a story are covered by Instagram. See the story size and safe zone guide.
